Cedar Valley nonprofits and members of Metro Funders will come together for an informal, and unscripted, gathering. This idea, first created by nonprofit guru Vu Le, is being embraced by funders across the country. The idea is that funders and agency representatives can, as Le says “see each other as human beings, and help decrease the power dynamics so present in our sector.” There’s only one rule: no agendas!
Please stop by, meet and mingle with funders and nonprofit representatives, enjoy some appetizers provided by Metro Funders, and grab your own BEER (which stands for “Beverage to Enhance Equity in Relationships,” and does not have to be alcoholic).
You can read Le’s original proposal on his blog, Nonprofit AF.
