Diversity and Equity and Inclusion (DEI) have always been important, and currently are the focus of many organizations due to the racial reckoning occurring in our country.
The purpose of this session is to share some ways to design meetings that can support Diversity and Equity and Inclusion. It is NOT to share a holistic strategy of how to embed DEI into the everyday work of your organization. That takes more than one course or one training. That takes a process of changing mindsets, systems and culture in your organization. One shift is how you design your meetings to support this work.
In this lesson we will cover:
Designing for Diversity
Designing for Equity
Designing for Inclusion

This year the UNI Explor-A-Ganza will be VIRTUAL!
The Explor-a-Ganza is an excellent opportunity for you to meet UNI students as well as share internship, job, and volunteer opportunities that your organization has to offer. The annual program coordinated with UNI’s NLA Leadership is a great way for Cedar Valley nonprofits to meet with UNI students and discuss internship, job, and volunteer opportunities in a “speed interviewing” style format. This gives you an opportunity to meet with 20+ enthusiastic students.
Free for CVNA members and NLA Advisory Board members; $25 non-members.
